Hola a todos!

Allow us to introduce ourselves! We—Blake and Jaimie—will be your leaders, guiding you through Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands this summer as we explore, learn, and serve.  We have been spending a beautiful weekend up here in Vermont at Putney Student Travel headquarters, where we have been planning and preparing for the incredible summer that we have ahead of us.  

The town of Chilcapamba, located a few hours’ drive north of Quito, will be the community in which we’ll be working on our service projects, and where we’ll be spending a large part of our trip living alongside our soon-to-be Ecuadorian amigos. In addition to Chilcapamba, we have several other destinations to visit and explore, including Quito (Ecuador’s capital city), Otavalo, and of course (drumroll please)…the Galapagos Islands!  

We can’t wait to be in-country, exploring and learning alongside all of you. But in the meantime, practice some Spanish, learn what you can about all of the great places we will be visiting, get your hiking boots ready, and think about how you want to leave a lasting impression in our host community. This will be a summer you will never forget!
